Tivala AB X OS Nordic

In the spring of 2024, we commenced a course that involved conducting a project within an external organization. Together with a coursemate, I carried out our project at Tivala AB, a web agency. Tivala AB had been commissioned by the company Os Nordic to create a new design for their website. Our task was to evaluate the new design created by Tivala AB.

The objective was to determine whether Tivala AB had successfully addressed the issues found in the old design and to assess if their new design improved usability and user experience. Throughout the project, various evaluation methods were employed, and improvement suggestions were later presented to Tivala AB. Tivala AB was highly satisfied with our work and has since adjusted their design based on our findings and recommendations.

Client – ”We are delighted that Daniela and Jennifer chose to collaborate with us at Tivala, and we place great importance on the results their testing has produced. Everyone at Tivala would like to thank both of them for their hard work, analyses, and the resulting insights.”

Results

Tivala AB was commissioned by OSNordic to create a new design for the website glovespro.com. My fellow student and I were tasked with evaluating the new design and providing potential improvement suggestions. The work began with a heuristic evaluation of both the old and new designs, followed by establishing measurable requirements and goals for the upcoming user tests. We developed scenarios and conducted a cognitive walkthrough, placing ourselves in the shoes of customers from the target audience. This led to some modifications of our scenarios prior to the user tests, which included observations and interviews. We categorized the identified issues into three levels of severity, from the users’ and experts’ perspectives. We particularly discovered difficulties in placing orders and locating product features, findings that were observed both by us and the test participants. Based on these findings, we developed mockups with improvement suggestions for the website.
